A new era of Moody's Research Assistant brings an expanded experience that unlocks new workflows.
We all know the world is changing at a rapid pace. In the last few years alone, we've seen a global pandemic shift our ways of working, rising geopolitical tensions in multiple regions, a slew of extreme weather events, and now a watershed moment in the form of artificial intelligence.
But as the world changes and grows more complex, so does risk. Our constant march towards progress has meant that our markets and businesses are linked by technology, trade, and culture. Our risks are interconnected — and exponential.
Here at Moody's, we're committed to rapid innovation to match the pace of change, harnessing cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) so we can help customers in financial services meet today's challenges head-on.
Welcome to a new era of risk assessment with Moody's Research Assistant.

Moody's Research Assistant new era: the Advanced Query workspace
As our first step into this new era, we're introducing the Advanced Query workspace, a redesigned experience with new content and enhanced functionality, allowing for more complex analyses with detailed adjusted and as-reported financials on over 15,000 rated, public, and private entities.
What is the Advanced Query workspace?
Distinct to the existing Chat workspace that allows users to extract and synthesize key credit information from across a variety of reports published by Moody’s, Advanced Query enables users to screen data by applying advanced filters to build lists of entities that match their criteria. It also offers the ability to get a comprehensive quantitative overview of a sector, conduct advanced peer comparisons to identify outliers, and build a list of rating actions to identify multiple notch movements and trends.
Below are just a few examples of the types of insights that the new Advanced Query can generate:
- Screen/build lists
- Compare peers
- Ratings trends
